Not sure how many AC members enjoy RR&FB but while listening to Live At The Wetlands last night is occured to me that since they are very much a Jam band that they might be taper friendly. Sure enough a quick search on archive.org turned up some 163 performaces.

I pulled down one recorded from the sound board in 2002 and it's pretty good, better than some commercial crap that I've overpaid for.

I have several of their show from the archive.  My favorite one is recorded at the Musicfarm in Charleston, SC on 3.13.03.  Another excellent show is from the Starland Ballroom in NJ recorded on 7.29.05.

You should check out some  of the Derek Trucks Band shows too.  That's an amazing band.

I love this band. Live at the Wetlands is a very nice listen. The Derek Trucks band is another amazing band; I saw them open for Ekoostik Hookah back in the fall of 2003 and it was quite possibly the best opening act I've ever seen. The fact that it was a Halloween show didn't hurt either; they were all dressed as monks when they took the stage.

The first time I saw Derek Trucks he was all of 15 years old and just blew us away with his playing.  His playing has matured a great deal over the past 10 years and I always go see them when they come through Raleigh.
Just an amazing band and so different from the work he does with the Allman Brothers.

His new cd Songlines is excellent, maybe their best effort yet.  Right now he's on tour with Clapton.  Seems Eric needed a slide guitarist for this tour.     I read a review that said EC and Derek do a three song acoustic set in middle of the show and they were playing several songs from Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.  I'd love to see that show.

Those guys are great! We've seen them two or three times now and their one of our favorite 'live' bands to see.

Their concerts are just a good time. Tons of fast paced upbeat music. The guys put on one heck of a show too. During the show, each one of them changes instruments (Roberts brother comes down from the drums and plays the slide and so on). Eventually they all end up playing each of the instruments. Last show we were at Robert had all the girls in the audience up on the stage dancing. Gotta love that!

Highly recommended live show!

I agree that RRATFB put on a great show.  When they played here a couple of months ago he asked if anyone in the audience played guitar and would they like to come up and jam with the band.  Two guys took him up on the offer, one wasn't very good but the other guy was awesome.  Robert even asked him to come back up for another song.  The dude has to be the Hendrix of pedal steel guitar.

LONG LIVE THE WETLANDS!!!!

RR is an absolute god on the pedalsteel!! Always puts on a great show. Did any of you catch him with The Word? It was John Medeski, RR and the North Mississippi Alstars(a pretty good funk trio). They played some great gospel music. Only did one tour about five years ago. You should check out the album they put out its real good.

I've had The Word cd for a while.  It's great road music.  I've seen all three bands but never as the Word.  My son go to see them last year at Bonaroo and said they were great.  The Allstars new cd, Electric Blue Watermelon is excellent.  Highly recommended.
