I went a saw by far one of the best displays of bass playing ever.  Marcus Miller and the Clark Duke project at Wolf Trap Park For The Performing Arts.    Marcus open the show and played his ass off. He performed for more that an hour and just destroyed his ax.  He throw down the gauntlet and Stanley knew when he hit the stage he would have to prove he is the MAN.  And boy did he prove that he is the all time bass musician no matter what the music or type of bass (he played 3 different basses 2 electric, 1 acoustic).  An Extraordinary concert.  I hope that some of you folks in the Mid-Atlantic Circle where there.

because my daughter had a high-school event I needed to attend, which of course, I forgot about when I heard about this pairing at Wolftrap. Two friends went and they seem to be in agreement, it was one heck of a performance by both bands and especially by both bass players. I understand marcus' band performed "Frankenstein" as their finale, that would've been very cool to experience.

Sorry you missed it.  I even heard some people talking about the concert on my way to work this morning.  Where do you live?  If you are ever in DC and would like to stop by and check out some tunes.  Let me know.  It would be fun.
