I was playing the new Dixie Chicks  taking the long way CD at a fairly moderate volume and i jumped in the shower. i got out and  put on the Dire Straits brothers in arms remaster and i notice a faint buzzing from the right speaker. well it appears that the highly regarded Scanspeak 8545 mid woofer has let go and no i am not a happy camper. now i am forced to listen to my Paradigm Studio 100 v3s until i can contact Klaus and get a new replacement driver.i have never had a piece of Odyssey gear fail before and i know that it is just a fluke, but it sure sucks! i want my beloved Lorelei's back in my two channel rig. thanks....WCW III

Hey rosco, i took the driver loose from the cabinet and the + and - leads are nicely soldered directly to the driver connections. it was playing but the buzzing let me know that it was damaged. its very hard to go back to the Studio 100v3s after having the pleasure of playing the Lorelei's in my system for almost nine months. once i can Contact Klaus he will hook me up with a new Scanspeak 8545 and hopefuly by friday night my Loreleis will be singing again. thanks...WCW III

Great news, i just got of of the phone with Klaus who is in LA setting up for the big audio show this weekend. my replacement Scanspeak driver is in route to my house and i should get it by friday at the latest. thanks...WCW III   UPDATE : the replacement driver came in a day early and i re soldered the wiring to the brand new Scanspeak 8545 and put her back together and the Lorelies are once again filling the room with beautiful music. life is good!  :singing:
