Let us not forget the actor Vincent Gallo. A man of strong audio (and artistic) convictions.

Surely you jest Occam.  Mr Gallo may have strong convictions but his execution is pretty bad IMHO.

One audiophile musician of note is Tony Levin, bass player for Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, etc. He did an interview a few years back highlighting his gear - all Linn stuff (see link at bottom).

R&B star, R. Kelly has several expensive high-end systems. Top-of-line Meridian system is his HT.

... another that comes to mind.  A Naim-guy. having purchased his gear from the wonderful recording engineer (primarily known for his recordings for Naim), Ken Christianson, also part-owner of Pro Musica in Chicago.

There was a write-up or two in Stereophile about Charlie's music, his introduction into high-end by Ken and the recordings they had done together.

*I was lucky enough to have Ken as our primary recording engineer for a series we did in the late 90s at Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple in suburban Chicago.  Amazingly pure and life-like recordings ... also a very nice guy and passionate lover of music.
