How would Khartago monos do with these....?

I will be trying to power a pair of speakers which are 85db 1w/m @ 4ohm. I would say I listen to music at slightly louder volume than average, not insanely loud but I do like to feel it a bit. I have a pair of Khartago amps which I intend to have modded by Klaus into mono's and increase to 240K cap, basically make them into Stratos monos in khartago cases.

Am I asking for trouble with the high power requirements of these speakers?

Knowing the demand these speakers are going to place on the amps is there anything special I can/should have done by Klaus to the monos?

I have a pair of mono's as you drescribe and have powered RM 40s(power hungry bass section) and RAW HT3s (low sensitivity) with very good results. In both cases amps seemed to be loafing.

Hey Christof, when Klaus and the boys transform the Khartago to a monoblock configuration the current increases more than three times over, i owned a pair of Khartago monos and could find no faults whatsoever with them. they are compact, powerful and smooth as silk and in fact are clones of the Symphonic Line RG 11 power amplifier with a few tweaks and improvements thrown in for good measure. thanks....WCW III

I have complete confidence Klaus' mono mod job will work just fine. I was not aware that my new speakers are going to be 85db 1w/m @ 4ohm and since these paticular speakers exhibit very little to no distortion when cranked I didn't want to damage things. My first reaction was...oh shit!
