Subwoofer Power Source

I bought a Monster 3500 Powercenter. Have not hooked up yet but had a question regarding subwoofer. My sub (Mirage S12) is to the back of the room with a 25' subwoofer cable. Should I run a long powercord extension to the Powercenter or should I just plug it into another surge protector at the back of the room ?

Personally, I'd plug it into a separate surge protector near its location, and not run a long cord to the Monster Powercenter... but that's me. Others may disagree.

If you would like to use Monster they make a unit designed specifiaclly for subs. It plugs directly into an oulet on the wall and the sub plugs into it. It's about the same size as those air fresheners that plug into a wall oulet.

I am using my old surge protector for the sub now. This powercenter did make a noticeable improvement in the system - I was a little skeptical before I bought this.
