I have built the Felicia Power supply, a pair of HT3 Speakers, and I have done some mods to my CD Player, Preamp, and P3a DAC.  CD player went great, Preamp was fine, but I killed my P3a DAC.  Be careful.

Start by building a kit of some sort to ket used to te idea of soldering and how to do these kinds of products.  White Noise Audio, Mapletree, Bottlehead, and others have kits out there that you can cut your teeth on.

I recommend this because I just made a very expensive mistake trying to modify something that I was not ready for...

i'm very comfortable soldering and and i've looked at the symph a lot and feel confident I could do some of it, but i'm wondering if any of our locals have done it previously or know of any companies that offer it.
I appreciate the word of caution though.

I use to own a concerto phono.  It was a really nice piece and very underrated. The problem with modding it as I saw it was most of the critical parts were on a fragile PCB.  This makes it a little hard to mod, but not impossible.

Can you take any pictures of the guts,  or sketch out a rough schematic? I can maybe point you through some places to consider starting.
