Me not being to savy in this audio world I'm thinking that Nuforce or some other amp makers would rather have their amps written up in a national magazine rather than have a bunch of "amatuers" sitting around and giving their opinions.

As for myself I'd rather take the word of my fellow audiocircle members. Lot's of input from lot's of guys means more to me than one magazine reviewer.

I completely agree with you.  I would MUCH rather listen to members here than the phile etc as well.  That's the reason I was so disappointed they decided to pull out, as I really think it would have been helpful for those trying to decide on a particular model of class D amplifier, especialy to those of us that cannot audition before buying like myself.

On the other hand, I can certainly see why they made the decision they did, but I still think it is lame

Charles: As far as I'm concerned many of us amateurs have as good of ears as any pro does. Not only that their rooms are commonly not the best acoustic wise. This alone makes me take their opinions with a large grain of salt. As a matter of fact I'm so sick of reading their poetic bull shit that it's literally hard to stomach at times.

I'd much rather have a fairly unbiased opinion of a group of audiophiles. One thing to keep in mind is that unless something is seriously wrong with an amp then just because one rated better than the others doesn't mean you'd like it the best. You may personally rank it the worst for personal/system reasons.

Ha Ha Haaaa... Let me guess:  Other than that you have no opinion!  Right?  I totally agree with you but it's part of the game.  Have you been to a wine tasting?  I don't think it's even in english!

I had the opportunity to audition the Nu Force 8a's.  They werent to my liking.  I appreciated the opportuinty, but for my tastes I did not like the sound.

That being said, this is one of the most interesting audio tests I have seen in a long time.  If I decide to purchase a digital and have to pay a premium, I want to know that I am getting great sound.

I'm still waiting for the cheap, killer digital amp like everyone else but if manufacturers can best realisitic and solid SS choices (read: non boutique) at the same or lower pricepoint, I'll jump on board.

I've got a Bel Canto S300 I'm going to post on Agon this w/e.  I'll be asking $950 for it.  I'll sell to the first AC'er for $900, split PP and shipping.

I was going to use it for subwoofer duty, but it doesn't seem ideally suited for this.

I'm aware Bel Canto wasn't there, but I've heard the amps and they were nice.

May email Ric at EVS to discsuss his amps as well.
