No but I am a collector of BBC monitors and am using Nuforce with Spendor BC1 and BBC LS3/5a (various versions) which are in the same ballpark as the SHL5 (in the BBC 2 foot square monitor family) and the HL-P3ES-2 and share their lineage.  Also similar to Harbeth BBC LS3/5a.

Very synergistic.   These are all difficult speakers and need the bass grip/power that good digital amps provide.  Works better than valve amps which don't generally achieve the same bass detail.  It's probably one of the best applications of this kind of amp.

We have experiences here driving the Harbeth 40 with the Ref. 9. An excellent match. Bi-amping with two pairs of Ref. 9 might be worth trying, though we haven't tried yet.

Thanks for your insights.  What do you think about the BBC dropping Harbeth for their monitors in favor of Dynaudio?

I tested the Harbeth 3 for 3 days at home... they are colored, there's no bass, dynamic is very shy and you can't use them in a big room...
They are very special speakers imho.

I think the Dynaudio thing isn't a monopoly within the BBC, it's for one site.  I could be wrong though.  The BBC has previously tended towards a number of concurrent contracts.

Dig amps diminish significantly any perceived problems with BBC voiced speakers.  Dynamics and bass are much better than with any other amp I've heard.

We are currently demoing the Compact 7 and Super HL5 with the P-8 Ref 9.02 combo.  Simply amazing.  Can't believe someone said colored about Harbeths.  You won't find a more uncolored natural midrange.  The best for the buck period!
