I have not been disappointed with my DAC-AH.  In fact, I love it without mods.  I would imagine that the Lite Audio DACs will give you more than your money's worth.  Since they are on eBay now, you might see if there is any recourse for return from the brokers.

I have thought about the same DACs as a future purchase since the AH cannot handle anything but 44khz (Red Book) input.  I got an email from a Hong Kong dealer saying that even the 20 bit version will handle the needed 48khz sampling rate of DVD.

I have the AH DAC. The only mod I did was to replace the output coupling caps with Black Gates.

I like this DAC better than anything else I have heard. Not the ulitmate in resolution but close to the ultimate in musicality. Nothing "digital" about the sound of this DAC at all IMHO.

I have not heard the other DACs in the line but I am sold on non-OS DACs in general.

'rizons:  couldn't agree more.  I hate to use the "a" word (analogue) but it really gets next to it.  Quite a bargain.

Yes, the Lite AH is most warm & easy. Esp. great bass power.Holds complex music together well. Also have compared it to the modded version, Audio Mirror D-1 with oil in paper output caps. The cap mod, makes for a warmer, more forward sound.
