Two DB1S+ rear speakers in series, or in parallel?

I'm getting ready to do my surround speaker in wall wiring, and I was wondering about which way is best to do the 6th surround channel, behind the listening position.  I wanted to put a pair of DB1S+ monitors on the rear wall and drive them with the same signal in a 6.1 configuration.  However, this would mean either feeding each speaker the same signal from two channels of my 9B, or using one channel of the 9B to drive two speakers.

I can't really do the former because I don't have an extra 9B channel to spare - my 4B is driving my LR  speakers, and I'm going to use two channels on the 9B to bridge my centre channel.  Ideally,  upgrading the 4B to a 6B would be great, but that's not really possible now.

can I wire the two rear speakers in series and drive them with the same signal from the 9B channel?  The DB1S+ are rated at 8 ohms, and it's just rear surround effects in movie sound tracks, so I doubt they will see a lot of action.  Wiring them in parallel would be nice for future expansion, since I could just move both speakers to their own amplifier channel if I ever free one up, but I don't want to hurt the 9B, obviously, by making the impedance too low.

Thanks!

Hi Jason,

Wiring the DB-1s in parallel should not cause any problems.  The
output on those channels is not too high, and the 9B can usually
handle 4 Ohms.

James, this makes me very happy.  This means that I can just upgrade from a 4B to a 6B at some point, and give each surround speaker their own channel.

Thank you!
