Greetings from a new member. I have been using an AVA Modified PAT4 Pre-amp since '82 or '83 (it still works fine), however, I am interested in upgrading and am interested in locating an SL Ωmega III.

Any suggestions on locating one would be appreciated.

There's also an Omega in a PAT-5 chassis, but I think he's asking too much money for it.

I've been thinking of moving to T-8 or an Ultra, so my OmegaStar SL might be up for sale in the near future.

Both of the two preamps described in the links above appear to be correctly described and presented. Note that the Omega Pat-5 unit has buffered tape outputs but no phono section.  The Omega III EC was built in 1998, the Omega Pat-5 in 1990. Both should still give exellent reliable service.
