Von Schweikert VR2 or 2641 or HT3

I am wanting to change around my HT system and get some front speakers that can be used for music without a sub. I listen to all types of music, but the majority is hip hop. I can pick up a used pair of VR2's, for around $1200, but I noticed the HT3, and the 2641's are around the same price. Has anyone compared these speakers? Anyone have any thoughts?

I have not compared the speakers, but I have sold many a Von Schweikert speakers (in the a/v business) and I will say the VR2's will fill the bill, but you better have a amp that can drive them...they love the juice and really do not perform well if you under power them.

I have a Harman Kardon 2.1 signature 5 channel amp.

the HK should do the trick, as long as it gives you the sound you like.

I have a pair of 2641's, and love them. I have not heard the Von Schweikert's. If you can some how listen to the 2641, of course that would be helpful. The Von Schweikert 's shouldn't be too hard to demo.

I have not heard any of the speakers you mentioned but if you go to Raw's forum or visit his website you can get your name on the list to audition the HT3's. From what I have been reading and hearing these speakers are supposed to be giant killers for the $ but let your own ears decide.
