Looking for either a nice dac to pair with a disc changer, probably my Pioneer 302 since I already own it. Just not sure if it would make an adequate transport, or if that matters much?
Or is it better to go with an used Sony 333/555es, CAL 10, or whatever?
This will not be used in my reference rig but am looking for better than average sound quality that will be used for the player's cd shuffle with entertaining and when I don't feel like firing up the tube amp for a more quality listening session.
Lastly, how do the dacs in ipods compare to the two? Non-modded version.
