I took delivery of the new VDA-1 DAC and upgraded power supply (VAC-1) last week and I can't believe the difference when this little trooper hit the 35 hour mark. The midrange fleshed right out and the detail is coming through in spades

In all fairness to the VDA-1 I am using a brand new digital cable that may have contributed to the "congestion" at the outset. Things started to open up around 25 hours in and I can say that even at this early going this little pup would not be ashamed to stand toe to toe with my recently departed and well broken in stock SACD-1000 as far as redbook goes

If you like the way it's sounding, I would suggest to get an ACME silver plated cryo'ed outlet, a couple properly cryo'ed Absolute Power Cords and some serious, separate line filtration for the dac and your transport.  It will blow you away...
