Naxos Raises List Prices 40%?

Anybody else notice this? Naxos Classical CDs just went up to 9.99 on Amazon. Not to mention most DG Classical CDs now list for just under $20. This is an outrage. I guess I will be making more trips to the NY Library to fill in the gaps in my collection. This seems like the death knell for Classical music.

It that's true it really sucks. Naxos' low prices put them on the map and fueled their rise to the top of the classical world. Have they forgotten this?

Bad move!!!

I always liked Naxos b/c I could try out different pieces for like $5-$7, but $10 makes it tougher to experiment.

It looks like HBDirect still has all the Naxos CDs at $5.99.

I was not aware of this site. I will be placing an order for a bunch of stuff before the sale ends at month end.

Those two new Buxtehude chamber music releases on Naxos are amazing if you like Baroque music.

If you buy a membership ($12 per year, I think) then you get member prices, which are 10% off. I've bought many many discs from them over the years and the service, selection & price are top-notch.
