Burn in time for Khartago/Etesian
« on: 16 Jan 2006, 02:53 pm »
I just received my $1500 system last Friday (1/13).  I immediately set it up in my office so that I could run it continuously without disturbing my family.  When I first turned it on, the sound was very harsh and I thought I might have made a mistake.  Now it's Mon. 1/16 and the amp has been playing for about 60 hours and really sounds good.

My question-how long before the system is fully burned in?  I plan to move it to my den, but will not do so until burn in is complete.

BTW,  I found this system b/c of this site and was convinced that it was for me after discussions with Klaus Bunge.  I also discovered the Squeezebox from Slim Devices through AC.  It's very cool as well.

Thanks to all for the great info.

I would also like to know for "just" the Etesian, what the burn in time is on average?? (if any at all? considering no capacitors really?)

As far as teh khartago, I assume it is similar to the stratos plus, taking about 4 weeks of 24/7 playing or about ~650 hours. hehe :o
