I've decided not to make the JIMDAC into a half-kit. It's just not up to my standards. Yes, it sounds fine and works very well. But I just can't see myself trying to sell a kit that you can't get parts for. And the waveforms are not up to snuff. The aliasing corrupts the output. Ok, so many people say you can't hear it. Fine. I'm open to your opinions. Sonically, the HAGDAC is way smoother and open, so there must be something to it. So you can see for yourself, here's the JIMDAC outputs for 1kHz square and 20kHz sine. The 1kHz step is zoomed in on.

For comparison, these are the same waveforms from HAGDAC. You get what you pay for, I guess.

So I am giving away the last remaining JIMDAC blank PCB! Free. And it includes a TDA1543. Here's how to win; I'm starting a new division / spinoff from Hagtech called "Hagerman Audio Labs", to sell higher-end assembled gear and I need a new logo for it. The best logo idea wins the JIMDAC. Send me a sketch or graphic at:
jim@hagtech.com
It doesn't have to be polished. And I may not use it. I am in the market for ideas, and this is how I get a bunch of them for free. The gear will be all-balanced tube stages. I'd like a simple and clean logo. Something that is catchy and makes sense. For an example of one I really like, check out this one:
