Hi guys,

So here it is.... i finally started the project that was born in my head 2 years ago. Many different aproaches were tried, i went from metal only, to semi metal-wood mixture, and finally ended up in 100% wooden boxes.

I am not an artist per say in woodworking, and even worse in metalworking, so this was my best shot. I got tyred of thinking and i just wanted to hear my AKSA again in a proper builted box. The AKSA carving letters were really hard, but i think they turned up ok.

They are in the last stage, no varnish yet, but polished and built. I made 2 boxes - 2 mono-blocks for the 100N and a GK-1 box. Almost identical, just the top is different.
I added a pic of my recent bought speakers...didnt try them on yet :)

Next step is the colouring and the varnish. Then start loading them up. Pretty close now....

Felipe,

Beautiful woodwork, nice design.....  congratulations!!

Be sure to have plenty of air circulation around the heatsink.

Nice speakers, are you pleased with them?  Are they bought fully assembled;  with your skills you could have made your own!!

Cheers,

Hugh

Phase 2 is on the move..... no stopping now !

The cases are finished. Just some few final touches are needed.
Now its time to start loading them up.
When i have them filled i'll post more pics.

I am just a bit worried with the heatsink. There is less ventilation than what i was expecting. I have made holes on top and bottom, plus the carved AKSA letters work as holes on the side too.
But i still think it should be more. If i remeber correctly my aksa didnt run very hot....

Cheers mates !

I've finished the woodwork (at least i think), no more drilling and hamering.

I started to lay down the junk inside the boxes.
I am using a push button from RS and a SS relay switch with it, thanks to Ron's indications. This is realy a good solution, pratical and neet.

I am now desoldering and soldering the parts in the AKSA modules to make it the N version. Almost there now....
