I'd like to put it (or a portion of the cost thereof) on my Christmas list.

Wow, $384 - that's almost the exact amount I was looking to spend on new vinyl for Christmas.  So, what should I choose: new waveguide technology to try out on my RM40s (or) lots of great music????

Well, although I am very excited about giving this new waveguide enhancement a whirl, there's no way it can compete with more music (particularly new vinyl).  It's a no-brainer for me.

Perhaps in the Spring, I will have saved up some more money.  And this time, maybe the waveguides for my RM40s will not lose out to my buying more new music.

But I wouldn't bet on it...

Well, I won't have enough money until the 16th to place an order -- my home projects have gotten out of control money-wise.   I plan on placing an order then, though.  I also need more music, but maybe I'll buy the CD for myself and put music on my christmas list for Santa to get.

Are there any photos of the RM40 WaveGuides with the grill cloth covering?  With the grill cloth covering does it look just like the normal grill covers?  If so, doesn't the grill covering over the slot interfere with the mids & highs?

Also, my RM40 are one of the earlier models with the face plate for the FST with the upper woofer and lower woofer each 1/2" from the edge of top and bottom of the cabinet.  I believe the later versions have the lower woofer about one inch to 1-1/2 inchs from the bottom.  Does this mean I need a special order CD Waveguide so the lower woofer cut out is tailored to the actual location of thw woofer in the cabinet?

Thanks,

Corbin

When covered with cloth the CDWG looks like a normal grill.

We send the appropriately cut CDWG depending on the source of your cabinet, domestic or mls.

Brian, thanks for the quick reply!  I assume the answer to my question about the grill cloth covering the slots is a non issue, otherwise you wouldn't sell them that way?  I'll be placing my order shortly.

Thanks,

Corbin

My order is on the way.  UPS took custody Friday so I imagine I will receive them Friday in DC.  I will post pictures of my normal grill and the CDWG when I get them.
