Ok this is a little different question than the norm for this player. I'm not particularly interested in the video performance per se because I don't have a great TV in the first place but the OPPO is one of the better DivX capable players on the market which is something I've been looking for. I have limited room for my system so I've been using a Philips DVD player for double duty as a transport for my Dialogue II non-oversampling DAC and for  video duties. I've been thinking of upgrading to the OPPO for it's better DivX compatability but it hasn't really been a priority, now if it performs well as a transport in it's stock form I might just be sold.

I'm aware that Boulder offers some mods for the OPPO as well but again, the video performance is not a big deal for me at this point so I'm not interested in the bulk of those upgrades. Now if the coax output mods were offered separately at a reasonable price it might be an interesting option but for the sake of this thread I'm mainly interested in the stock performance of the digital coax output and how it performs as a transport in stock form.

I its probably par at best.

Oppo is only good for video, so you most likely will have to mod the digital out to make the sound quality better.
