Lets start about 2:00 or so. That should help with traffic some. Although, mid evening gets really busy.

Good news, my lovely wife has agreed to hang out. That means Laur-B-Q!!! You guys don't have to eat my cooking (or lack thereof).

Brad, tell you what, if you end up having to work, you could send the 45's anyway   I've got some 45's stashed here somewhere. I think I've got a pair of RCAs and Sylvania's (I may have to check one pair though  blackmore) I'd love to hear Gordons 45. Thats one piece (amongst many) I've not heard before.

Not to worry about crashing here, we've got a couple of open bedrooms, a few couches, a recliner, a Futon, and plenty of carpet.

Scott -

Soccer's over, no birthday parties, nothing.  So I've got you down for the 10th anytime after 2pm.  I'll probably be there earlier as opposed to later.  As mentioned, I'll try and bring my neighbor, Tom and some beer.  Don't think "Uncle Herb" can make it.  8)

Also, TIM - you'll be happy to hear I will NOT be deploying the Radio Shack switcher.  Ordered the Quintete from across the pond today.  $110 delivered.  Not bad.

Still haven't hooked up the system since you guys worked on it.  My office is STILL under construction.  Should be done in two weeks???  (Good things come to those who wait.)

I'm going to try to make it Scott.  Looks like my last potential conflict has resolved itself.  Can't wait.  Haven't sat down with a bunch of other audiohead and just listened for a long time.

Let me know what I can bring.

Hi Scott,  I will be there and might bring one or two friends.  Can I bring a desert or anything else?  I am hoping to have a pair of Decware small box speakers by then with a ribbon tweeter.  It has been one year since joining GAS.  You guys have been a terrible influence on me.  I have bought numerous amps including my current vintage Scott 222D, a pair of Lowther DX 2s, many homeade interconnects and a Ah! 4000 CD player.  Listening to Nick Drake Five Leaves Left right now.

Most importantly I have made many new friends and listened to all kinds of music on other GAS amazing systems.  Look forward to seeing everyone.   I am renovating an old house by Forest Park, with good listening space, so I am hoping to host a GAS event in the spring.  Alex

Well, it's official....I can't make it to the GAS Christmas shin-dig.  I tell you what, this job thing is really messing up my free time.  I feel like someone just told me there is no Santa Claus--I'm talking that degree of angst.  You look forward to one special thing...that bonus check to put in the backyard pool...and you get that Clark Griswald feeling, a year's subscription to the "jelly of the month" club.   (stepping off of soapbox)

Scott, I'd still like to come down one day this winter to take a listen to the new TT (and hear the new 4.5" Lowther's when they arrive). I showed my wife the picture of it---she was shaking her head no as I was doing the whole.."but, honey, look".

Cheers,
Brad

Man that sucks. You'll defiantely be missing a good time but....you are welcome to come down anytime you can squeeze a day in. I haven't recieved the new Lowthers yet. I need to call Jon and see when he plans on shipping them. I'll let you know.
