Well well well, fate is a funny thing isn't it.  About the whole amplifier issue.  I was just able to trade one of my tube amps for a pair of Herron monoblocks. While still not up to the recommendation of 300 watts per channel, I'll be going from 50 watts per to 150 watts per.  We'll see if there's a difference.  Peace.

 NICE CHOICE!!  I think you will notice a difference going to that kind of power. You will have more headroom and wake those drivers up.  Keep us posted.

Report back to us on the difference between the Herron and the Clayton.

And Bill is right about those midbass drivers. They are really stubborn to loosen up, but once they do, you can really notice the difference!
