Hello everyone...
A friend recently acquired some piano black
Usher S-520s to use as rear channel speakers in a living room based home theater system. With a very energetic toddler in the house, stand mounting them behind the sofa doesn't appeal to him. In addition, the previous owner of the house already had wires run to speaker mounting points in the ceiling.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to securely mount a pair of S-520s from the ceiling in a manner that would allow them to be angled downward? WAF issues definitely apply here...
Options considered to date:
1) Screw some sort of mounting bracket directly into the speaker cabinet. Compromising the cabinet's integrity and damaging that beautiful piano black finish make this option unappealing.
2) Some sort of chain/wire suspended platform, ala Marble's VMPS 626 mounts. Problem: Very low WAF.
Any other ideas? Many thanks!
