Price Reduced To $1,000

Intially I posted this without checking with Klaus,  to get his approval.  

I started to feel like this may be disrespectful to Klaus. So immediately after posting this,  I called Klaus and he gave me his okay.  As always Klaus is a true gentleman and a great guy!


Due to some personal problems which have developed,  I have an Odyssey Tempest Extreme For Sale.   This unit is five and a half months old and was checked out by Klaus two months ago.   I double checked to see when I recieved the unit,  and it was five and half months ago;  not 6-7 months.



It functions like new.

I don't want to sell this Pre Amp,  but I don't have much of a choice.

I'm asking $1,000.  Buyer pays shipping.

I've been using Agon for some time.  Some information would be handy to aid your sale:

What is the retail value of the piece?  Looking at the website, it looks like the "standard" model is $1,000.  There's no "extreme" moniker with add-on price shown.  I assume there are extras that would add price and value.

If it was back at the shop, what was done?

How do you expect to be paid?

For a piece in basically "mint" condition, under a year old, expect about 1/3 of the value to be gone.  This figure varies, depending on supply/demand.  For future reference, for items not in pristine condition and/or over a year old, you probably are looking at a reduction of at least 1/2 the original price.

You may want to consider posting an ad on Agon, where it will get WAY more exposure than here.

i have seen the standard tempest with no remote sold used for $850.00 and $1000.00 for an extreme version is a hell of a deal , the prices on the odyssey website are not all up to date.if you ask Klaus i bet he also thinks its a sweet deal at $1000.00.used Odyssey gear tends to hold its value very well! thanks....WCW III
