CES/THE Show 2006 Here is an "
UPDATE" on CES/THE Show this year.
VMPS will be in
room 1303 at the St. Tropez (THE Show) again this year.
We will be showing the new absolutley stunning
RM30 "BlackBirds" (SR-71 w/MLS Piano Black cabinets, and CD Wave Guides)
As mentioned in a previous post, these should be the best sounding RM30s ever produced featuring the following option/upgrades:
1) First and foremost Our new
Constant Directivity Wave Guide
2)
SR-71 (Black Hole 5) package
3) MLS
Piano Black SuperDuty Cabinet and
Diamond Lacquer finish
4)
Auricaps 5) Woven Carbon Fiber Mega Woofers
6) A special wiring from
Brian Kyle's Xtreme Cables.
http://www.xtremecables.com/Brian has recently recieved the prototype samples of these
SuperDuty Cabinets and they are
D-E-N-S-E.They are built and braced like no other VMPS cabinet.
Front, rear, bottom and top baffles are 1 5/8" thick High Density Fiberboard. They are well braced internally and then covered with a super thick
Piano Black HardCoat that further stiffens them.
The picture below does not show the bracing and is a "very bad" construction shot, but you can see the thickness of the baffles. Even the slot base rails for the Passive Radiator, are heavy duty enough to drive a truck over.

Soon we will receive a shipment of
Super Duty MLS RM30s in the following finshes:
Standard: Lite Oak, Dark Oak, Satin Black, Birch
Optional Upgrade: Rosewood, Cherry, African Ebony, Piano Black
Posted below are a few photos of a couple "samples". These again show the "thick" baffles to these MLS Super Duty Cabinets.
First the Lite Oak and Dark Oak
And the Rosewood and Cherry
But that is not "ALL".Brian has sent the
LARGER sub out for the same treatment except instead of 1 5/8" baffles,
the subs will have 2" (yes 2 full inches) on the front, rear, and bottom baffles. Again for incredible density and inert cabinets.
We are looking to have
LARGER subs in the following:
Standard: Satin Black.
Optional Upgrades: Rosewood, African Ebony, and Piano Black.
With the
SR71 package and the
1000w sub amp, this should be a
World Beater for a powerful, musical sub.
