Sorry Weez, I don't! I want all my money to go to quality of sound, not the look. I would be in favor of a buyer having a choice on whether to upgrade to a fancier look. I am very happy with the simple black faceplate. I guess you could say I do care a wee bit about the look. I like the look of black audio equipment! :|

I do. I don't want to spend money on something that looks like an engineer designed it which is often what high end gear looks like.

A stylish design does not have to add significant dollars to the cost of the product.

I can post some photos and drawings now but need some help regarding just exactly how to go about doing that here.

It doesn't look like I can simply upload a .pdf or .jpg file from my HD here without going through some kind of intermediate process of having the graphic previously uploaded to the web, and that is not yet done.

If there is a simple process somebody can explain to me than I can furnish some images now.

Thanks,  Frank

Actually you can upload them directly.  Go to your gallery or create a new one (album) and then click add photos.  Choose how many you would like to upload at once (1-5) from the drop down box.  Then click browse and select your .jpg's and such.  Not sure if you can upload a pdf though, haven't tried.

Will the faceplates be available to purchase (assuming the chassis is staying the same) to upgrade our existing gear?

Graphic art posting help

OK, I have some drawings of the new faceplate series in .jpeg format uploaded to an "untitled" gallery.  (Search for AVA, at the bottom of the listing).

How to I change the name of the gallery to reflect that it is our new faceplate artwork?

How do I move any of the images to a simple posting here?

Thanks

Frank, Go to your gallery (page 48 )

click on a picture, then look at the link just below it.  Copy that link.

Come here to post.  Click on the "img" tab.  Then copy the URL of the picture, then click on the "Close Tags" tab.  That's all there is to it.

If you have any questions, just hit the "Quote" button on this post and it will show you what I did.

I'd agree that the gallery isn't a sterling example of user interface design. :-)

The new faceplate design looks really nice though!

Very, very nice. Simple and clean looking. I like it!

Are the tape monitor/mono switches of the push-on/pushoff type; toggles; or rockers? (..just curious)

So, will the new Ultra EC faceplate fit the OmegaStar EC solid state unit?

All four new faceplates are now posted here under "New AVA Faceplates"

Marbles, thanks for the help.

The pushbuttons are gold contact PC card mount "push on - push off" types.

The new faceplates (black background, light gold arwork and text) will work with the OmegaStar EC unit, but cost has not been determined yet.
