iRIAA filter questions....

I've done my best to search the forums and tried to divine what others speak on with this device.
If I understand correctly, if I hook this up between my cdplayer and newly constructed Cornet 2, I can just put the cdplayer on 'repeat' for a few days and leave it alone, and bypass playing say 200 or more albums to break it in and grinding my teeth.

I assume I would not necessarilly have to have the amp on either, correcto?
This sounds like a good thing to me, even if I only use it once.
Thanks for anyone answering; I just don't seem to suck up new information as quickly as I used to, if at all.

And understanding it is a complete arguement!

Correct.

It's also a handy tool to play a CD through the Cornet and A/B compare the Cornet with the CD. Should be pretty close.

DUB (device under burn) has to be on (unless it is a cable). The phonostage will not burn in unless operating.

So you are saying Jim, that I ought to have an amp running behind it all to give the phonostage something to feed? (makes sense, if that is what you mean.) Or are you merely meaning the Cornet 2 has to be fired up (which I thought obvious.)?

Oops. I meant phonostage should be on. No amp or linestage need to be on. Sorry about that. Can burn in peace and quiet.
