Was just having a conversation with a buddy about the lowest grossing films we'd seen.
According to here
http://www.the-numbers.com/index.php this was the lowest grossing film I could recall seeing in a theater
http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2000/NWHID.html as it's US gross was $22,007.
Almost forgot about
Non-Stop. Not sure how I forgot that one as it was great. And I still haven't been able to find a copy of it with English subs. That one only brought in $38,442.
The Chumscrubber was the next lowest grossing film I recall seeing in a theater. That only ended up grossing $49,526.
One other film I'd seen apparently didn't get much of any theatrical release since I couldn't even find any info for it. Probably didn't play more than the one show...
Shiri was another film that didn't break $100K (only hit $97,152). Looks like The Bank didn't make it there either as it only got to $88,414.
Do any of the rest of you watch anything like this?
I guess it's not so easy to see films like these as they play in only a handfull of theaters (Nowhere To Hide only played in 3 theaters!

). It's really too bad that these films never really got seen by anyone. I'd have to say that all of them I'd listed above were good films. Nowhere To Hide & Non-Stop are great films.
