Actually, St Charles is (basically) a suburb of St Louis. Heres a couple of good shops you can check out while you are in town.
- Best Sound on Lindberg Blvd in Ladue - B&W, Audio Research, Project, plus others
- Music For Pleasure on Big Bend in Maplewood - Dynaudio, Krell, T+A, Meridian, Arcam, Logan, Naim, Linn plus a host of others
After that, there are a few smaller shops that typically cater to the HT guys but carry some high end gear.
- The Sound Room on Clarkson (near hwy 40)
- The Screening Room on Clayton Rd at Lindberg - Focal, Tannoy, plus a few others
Best Sound and Music For Pleasure are 'must' stops while you are in town. If you are in the market for some vinyl, Euclid Records, The Record Exchange and Vintage Vinyl are all good stops (especially Euclid).
These are the ones that quickly come to mind. I'm sure if I forgot any, some of the other GAS guys will chime in.
