Yes, this is fine from the standpoint of moderation, imo. However, part of the audiophile community is stating what we like, and what we think is BS - such as SoundIdeas innocent posts - and why.

I don't see why BS, or even curious logic, should just be skipped over.

About the integrated: I don't hate it for the sound. I've never heard it. The marketing at its introduction on audiogon bugged me. And how many did they sell to get so many being dumped by owners? I've heard people complain about frequent upgrades to it....

Glad you were happy with yours and got rid of it for reasons other than its sound or value. I'd never buy one anywhere near new or used market price. These speakers are simply out of the question.

Best I ever heard was a pair of Dunlavy VIs at the consumer electronics show in Vegas in the mid '90's.  John Dunlavy had rented a huge banquet room at the Golden Nugget to set up his demo, and this room was practically made to order for the big sixes.  The system was amplified with the best that Audio Research made at the time.  John Dunlavy escorted me to the hot seat and played a Choral recording.  Never before or since have I heard anything so lifelike, so dimensional and so natural.  I felt I could have picked out each vocalist across the entire stage.  Even height information was evident as I could sense which row the various singers were in.  Truly incredible.

I will nominate Rick Craig's Linus3s. They aren't even his best design but they are the design I heard and I have to say that I'd take them over all the commercial $20,000+ speakers I've heard.
