Hi Albee,

The main reason is the HempTones are going through the dealers as well as from the factory and the Aperiodics are factory direct. I have been working on the site and I will separate the lines. (Factory direct/Dealers).

I was thinking of grouping the aperiodics with the Lotus, as they are factory direct too.

Thanks again,
Louis

What sonic differences are there between the HempTones and the Aperiodics?  How do I decide which to buy?

I think there are sonic differences between the 2.Placement with the Hemp is more critical.
Louis could give you a better explanation.I guess it all depends on your gear.

Hi JeffB,

Both speakers are very similar in tone and the top end. It's actually really close. The differences are:

HempTone:

A little bit more efficient and a little easier to drive. If you're using low powered Tubes (SETs) it's a plus.

In Vented mode, a bit more extended in Bass and a bit more weight.

The Hemps are great with rock and amazing with guitar and can handle high power.

Aperiodic:

Very articulate and very fast.

Have an electrostatic quality to them.

Great with Jazz and acoustic music and really like the Clari t and Vinnie Teac amps

Very easy to place in the room.

The differences are not major at all and it's really scary how similar they are

I'll have both at the RMAF

Thanks again,
Louis
