Sound Anchors has designed the perfect stand for Sapphire XLs. These stands will also work quite well with many other monitors including the Sapphire 25th Anniversary and other similar sized speakers. If you were to purchase a set of custom stands from Sound Anchors similar to these, you'd pay at least $525 pair. We have them intro priced at only $399 pair . . . AND because you're here at the Circle, use coupon code:
ACSCS  when ordering and we'll pay 1/2 the shipping!  Take a look:

Mike, very nice looking stand, and a very reasonalble price. Nice to see you don't have to mess with sand/lead shot etc. that's a big plus in my book.

Sound Anchors are among the best stands you can find, and the inverted three-post design is perfect for the XLs.

A Couple of Questions on the Stands -
Hi Mike,   I held off buying any stands for my XLs hoping you would come up with something custom and these look great.    I have a couple of questions:

First- the Specifications say the top plate is 7 1/2" wide but in the picture it looks to be less than that.  The speaker fronts are almost exactly 7 1/2".  Is the picture of an early version or is the top T-Shaped?

Second- There was a discussion about a month ago about the speaker-bottom to stand-top interface.  With heavy stands like these the goal I would think would be to couple (rather than isolate) the speaker to the stand.  The trick would be doing this without destroying the beautiful finish.   Do you have a recommendation on what to put between stand and speaker?  It would be nice if they came with sorbothane of the right size, but maybe  blutack is a better choice.   Do you have any recommendations?

BTW- I am absolutely blown away by the XLs.  They share all of the benefits I loved about the Sapphire 25th Anniversarys, but with an additional degree of musicality - almost a liquidity to the sound that really draws you in to the performance.  Bravo!

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments :)

I'm very excited to be able to offer the Sound Anchor stands . . .  the quality, right down to the packaging is absolutely first rate.

Groch:

The top piece is t-shaped with the rear wider than the front. The 7 1/2" measurement is at the rear. . .  we should probably add a stand only picture to the website to show what this looks like.

Sound Anchors supplies three small sorbothane pads with the stands. However, these are so sticky that they can damage the finish over time. They are very effective, but I DO NOT recommend using them unless you can tolerate some degradation to the finish on the bottom of the speakers. We're looking into altermatives that might offer the firm coupling without harming the finish. I'm not sure if blu-tack will harm the XL finish or not . . .  we haven't had an extra pair of XLs around to be able to beta test the various pads.
