Marvin, have you had any takers yet?  Have you made any changes since I was there last?  (I know you were looking at amps for a while, but I think you ended up halting the search...)

Hello Brian, no takers yet. I've added the Dodd Audio entry preamp and it's made a ton of difference and finally got around to getting some furnature gliders to do some tweeking in speaker placement.
I've started the amp search again but have to start selling some of my pocket knife collection to finance the amp.
I was thinking about the Belles 150a reference ($3000) and talked to the Belles dealer in San Antonio, who also is an Usher dealer, had a pair of the new Belles Soloist 65 watt power amps bi-amping my speakers and said even David Belles was surprised at how musical the combo was.
He offered the 2 amps ($1800) and the matching preamp($700) for $1950.
I need to go to San Antonio to hear for myself.

I also got in a pair of Aural Thrills Black Axiom interconnects that they retail for $300...$27 on ebay.

It has been quiet, but we have been getting an increasing number of "maybes" lately.  Progress!

We had markn talking about a session at his place a while ago, but I'm not sure what happened.

Danny indicated that he might be willing to host a session once he gets his new AV4's broken in.

I'm also pinging the Usher distributor for the U.S. (based in Dallas) about a session, and while our email communications have been a bit spotty due to over-agressive spam filters, it looks like there is some interest there as well.

I might be able to host a session myself in about 4-5 months, but I have a few decisions to make yet on gear to purchase.

As for BBQ, with the temps pushing 100 everyday, I'm already feeling a bit grilled myself!!

Hey man, I think you're getting my product mixed up with product offer by some other guy.  :nono:

What I was waiting on was my A/V-4 enclosure to get here. They arrived, busted up by UPS. Looks like there will be some delay in getting repaired now.

We do need to put something together soon though.

So many similar names... RC3, HT3, AV3... RC4, AV4....

Oh wow... sorry about that, Danny.  That really sucks!  How soon until you get a new set?

Hello everyone....I'm still around.  :D

I apologize for having "disappeared" for a while as I was on the road for a few months and just started a new job in Fort Worth.  In fact, I'm currently house hunting in Fort Worth.  I look forward to catching up with y'all.

hello ken, you know the best way to house hunt is make sure you have the perfect sound room. check out the saginaw area, just close enough without being too close.

Outstanding... more reinforcement on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex! :)  (I'm on the Northeast side of Fort Worth, East of Marvin by 10-15 minutes.)

The guys I've met on the (usually North) Dallas side of DFW have all been wonderful hosts with great systems, but an hour+ drive each way makes impromptu listening sessions difficult!

So does the house hunting involve a requirement for a dedicated audio room?

No dedicated audio room for me...it'll be my first house, all for me.
