So I just bought a Sonic Impact with the hopes of modding it. I'm a complete DIY noob and this will be my first project. I should probably learn to walk before I run, but I came across this item on eBay this morning and it got me thinking about the possibilities. It seems like a convinient way to control your amp, but I don't know what the differences in volume controls are. Is this type of volume control better/worse than traditional volume pot (Alps, noble) or transformer based volume controls.
