Settings for best WAV files from EAC
« on: 6 Jul 2005, 08:40 pm »
Hello folks.

I'm finding such a plethora of switches, settings, and doo-dads in EAC I dare not start ripping my CD's until I'm sure I'm extracting the highest quality WAV files possible.

What settings do you recommend to acheive the best WAV files?
I'm not at all concerned about speed.  I only want to do this right, the first time!

Thank you.

I think this link is dated...
From the Compression Options Window:
I don't have the option to choose 'Internal WAV Routines' from the WAV Format menu.

Instead I selected 'Microsoft PCM Converter' . This was the only option that allowed 44.100 khz, 16bit, Stereo from the Sample Format Menu.

Does this match what you see?

I recently downloaded a fresh copy of EAC, so I'm assuming I have the latest version.

Other small inconsistencies also exist.

Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks.
