digital v analog volume

I want to use my PC as a source, followed by a USB/DAC then a tube preamp. Is it better to adjust the volume in the digital domain or at the preamp? Pros, cons?
Thanks

Probably the volume on the tube preamp will be better.
problem of digital volume control is the lack of quality.
Anyway the better, test yourself, Is my personal opinion, of course, I suggest testing what choice sound better for you
