We have asked AC to allow guests to post on the ACI circle without requiring email registration. We did this because some people were unable to register because their ISPs were blocked. This included yahoo, gmail, and hotmail, and their might be potential problems with verizon as well. We still encourage those who can to register . . . then you can post in other areas of AudioCircle as well.

GUESTS: Welcome! We'd like to ask you to please sign your messages with a name or handle. Otherwise it will get pretty confusing with guest answering guest, etc.

*** Note, I don't think there is any way for guests to edit their messages once they've been posted.

Have a great day :D

I'll be the first    Mike, I've heard a # of your speakers over the years and been very impressed. Looking to upgrade to ACI soon.

Last night some wacko porn spanner started posting here. Thankfully, I got a heads up from a gentleman named Howard (Thank you again!). I was deleting the posts as quickly as possible from that point on. The site administrators then blocked posting by guests until we either know the offending party is long gone, or figure out how to keep him out.

In about 3 months time we have had some great contributions by guests. Sadly, one idiot can ruin that for everyone  :(

My apologies for this continuing problem. The site administration turned on the guest function for our circle a couple of days ago and within hours a porn spambot was back on the attack.  Allowing guests to post on our circle has certainly brought new folks, new ideas, new questions.

The administrators are seeing what they can do (a lot of hard work without a lot of reward).  I certainly hope we can soon open the doors without the porn jerks ruining it.

I think we're OK now. Guest posts require a name and email address. They also require that a four-character code be entered, which some may not like but... well, you can't have everything.

Our registration policies on email addresses have also been relaxed, because of the better security and management this new site software provides. So I recommend that people do register if at all possible.

Thanks for your patience Mike :)
