Black Monday! Latest firing is John Harbaugh!!  :o
Falcons, cardinals, raiders, and browns fired their coaches too

It is a brutal cycle this time of year, and a reminder of the what have you done for me lately mentality of the NFL. Just brutal.

Will Aaron Rodgers' last pass in the NFL he a pick six?  I think so, he had a good year, not great, but good, that took the stink off of the two years in NY.  A lot depends if Tomlin is back.  Tomlin won't get fired, but with yet another one and done playoff appearance they may engineer a forced retirement, but if he's gone so is Rodgers.

The Eagles are broken because of Jalen Hurts and the coaching staff that let's him run the offensive scheme.  He refuses to run a modern passing game with rules based option routes and they have a run game with four plays.  That worked last year when they had overwhelming personnel on both lines, but they got rid of Bectin on the offense and Williams on the defense which made all the difference, especially with key injuries.  They could have played through those adversities with a good scheme, but Hurts won't allow it.  That has to be fixed.

After what appeared to be a competitive start it was sad to see the Steelers offense be pretty much obliterated by the Texan's defense. The Steelers defense did their job most of the game, but they were worn out by time on the field. I think Rodgers did what he could given the time he had to work with, which wasn't much. No run game support to speak of, and receivers unable to get open or dropping balls is not the recipe for success. I agree Let, it was a good year for Aaron (& likely his last), and will be interesting to see where things go with that organization in the future. That was pretty much the least competitive game of the playoffs so far. Going to be an interesting weekend, Go Seahawks.  :thumb:

Tomlin steps down!

The important thing is that the Steelers retain contractual rights because he resigned and wasn't fired.  So if he goes to another team in the next year they get compensation, which means he's headed to the broadcast booth.  This the day after CBS got an empty seat with Matt Ryan taking the team president job with the Falcons.  We could see Tomlin on the broadcast as soon as this weekend.

Now, do the Steelers hire John Harbough?

It looks like John Harbaugh will be the Giant's next coach.
Five year contract, gets paid $100 million for the job.
Maybe he can turn that team around.

Denver loses their quarterback so maybe that's as far as they go?
I thought the Seahawks/49ers game would be closer, that was a rout.

That Bears/Rams game had a wild fourth quarter.
That game could have easily gone either way.
I'm looking forward to the Seahawks/Rams game, New England/Denver won't be what it could have been due to Denver's quarterback situation.

Another end of game amazing play for the Bears. Was rooting for them, but miscommunication or going for too much at the moment was their downfall. Would have been an 'easier' game for the 'hawks I think. Familiarity with the field, travel, and time change, while small factors this time of year would have been in Seattle's favor. But to be the Best, you've got to Beat the Best, so bring it on Matt, Puka & Co. Would be fitting for the franchise's 50th anniversary to be in the Super Bowl again. Should be a barnburner of a game. Go Seahawks !
