My big VMPS monitors have small leaks. When you push in say the passive sub, the other speakers do not move the same from one speaker cabinet to the other.

Careful inspection of the surrounds and coils revealed that they look ok (no obvious rot or breaks, etc.).

How can I EASILY identify where the small leaks can be, and then what simple patch / seal will work?

Woven carbon fiber is naturally leaky.  The best way to check for leaks in the cabinet or around drivers is with compressed air--you can buy a small bottle at RatShack.
