100 plus hours of Burn In
« on: 15 Jul 2025, 01:58 am »
My Sonus faber Electa Amator 1 speakers now have over 100 hours of burn-in with the new crossovers, and continue to improve. Its hard to believe just how dramatically these speakers have changed over this time, and I wonder if there's still more to come?
I also find myself wondering how the upgraded crossover components are chosen, given that the resulting sound changes (improves), so much over time. Question then for Danny - do you use components (capacitors, resistors, inductors etc) that are already burned in during the design process, or do the measurements stay the same regardless? Either way, I find the improvements to be colossal, so am a very happy customer, thank you Danny!

The measurements remain the same.

Yes, sometimes the difference during burn in can be surprising.
