I’ve programmed trigger 2 to power up my bda2 from my BP173. Here are the instructions from the BP173 manual. Maybe the BR20 works the same way. It must have been an oversight not to include the instructions in the BR20 manual. It has to be done from the remote.
I chose “Balanced 1” input. When I turn on the preamp using either the remote control or the power switch, with Balanced 1 as the last input selected before turning off the preamp, the bda2 will power on. If, during operation I switch to another input, the bda2 will power down. Also, if I turn off the preamp using its power switch, the bda2 will also turn off. If I use the remote to power down the preamp, the bda2 will not turn off via the trigger. I have to power down the bda2 separately. I do not have this issue with the amp which is operated via trigger 1. I hope this helps.
