My bdp-2 started having problems 3 to 4 days ago.  I was playing music when the bdp disconnected and i could not load anymore songs to play. I turn off the system.  When i went to start up the bdp the next time i could not get the bdp to respond. I use the basic bryston interface.  This would happen from time to time so i just turned the system off.  I tried the bdp yesterday with the same result.  Today the same thing. I tried unplugging the power cord for 20 sec but no luck.  The bdp would boot up ok. I see the normal sequence . Normally i turn on my ssd hard drive which sits in an external dock. Usually i see the letter u  indicating the files are being read but this does not happen. Anyone have any idea of what the problem may be?  I will contact bryston but would appreciate any help meanwhile.

It sounds like you may have a corrupted USB drive. To remedy this issue, unplug the unit take out all USB drives and load them back one by one and rebooting the unit between each USB drive replacement.
