I know the only thing that should matter is how it sounds but, when considering power amps, I’ve developed a preferential bias for original designs over OEM module implementations. I understand that integration is only as good as implementation, which invites and rewards originality and enables economies of scale for lower prices (and/or more profit), but I am still drawn towards, and reward, wholly original designs.
Thoughts? Does anyone else share this bias?
