Up for grabs is, by 2nd owner, the profound MHDT Orchid DAC. The finalizing of dismantling a second system provides this marvelous units availability.This pristine example has an ultra rare, TDA1541 S2 Double Crown chip installed.The musical soundings this particular DAC passes are sublime and absolutely mesmerizing.The Orchid DAC is a non over-sampling, no digital filter, structured DAC. This tends to produce a most realistic and natural sound. The Orchid DAC is capable of up to 24bits/192kHz digital signal inputs yet remains driving legendary TDA1541A R-2R digital to analog output.The Orchid DAC is configured to be 16 bits output.The USB input section operates in asynchronously with a total of five independent digital inputs; AES/EBU, BNC, USB, RCA and Toslink. These 5 digital inputs are independent to each other, only one among them will be active and is controlled by the tactile switches located on the front panel.Tube buffered output (tube compliments listed below) Its 100V, 115V, 215V, 230V power supply is user selectable from internal PCB pins setting. Includes the ultra rare TDA1541 S2 DOUBLE CROWN chip...Tubes that can be used are: 5670, 2C51, 396A, 6385, 6CC42, 6854, 6N3, 6854, CV2575, CV4013, CV5894, CV8247, CV2381. I personally only tried the WE 396A, a 5670 and the AMPEREX 7308 (stayed with this one) tubes that are included in this sale...

Any "active" item that I list for sale is throughly tested to clearly pass signal/music via each and every input and output, if applicable. For "passive" items such as cables, these are tested for shorts and continuity with an audible continuity tester as well as a V.O.M. This testing happens prior to disconnection (for active gear) and once again before packing it up and was performed on this DAC last week after snapping the last four pictures of it.
