Hi, I am selling a Vista Audio Phono 2 preamp. It does MM and MC. I am the second owner. This pre sold for $400 new just a few years ago. I am asking $245 plus shipping.
This is a great sounding phono pre. I am selling it because I moved on to a $2K phono pre. The Vista has good pro and user reviews. It is highly capable. It sounds better than the AVA phono pre and a Lounge LCR Silver. These both sell for over $500. It has a wide soundstage with air and transparency. Detail is very good. It has a neutral tone to just a hint of warmth. It has good Clarity. Bass is punchy and treble is smooth and non fatiguing.
It had a dip switch that was bad and my EE friend (and fellow AC member) who repairs audio gear and has been doing it for 50 years replaced it and gave it a good going over including putting it on a scope and checked channel balance (which was excellent) and a few other parameters. It all check out good.
There are some user reviews where people found it to be a big step up from the Schiit Mani.
It sounded great with my Pro-Ject Classic Evo TT ($2300) and a Nagaoka MP-200 cartridge. I feel it performs well above its price point.
This phono pre is fully adjustable with dip switches.
Here is a link to the Vista page with pic's of the unit, dip switches and back side.
