Good morning everyone. I wish you a Merry Christmas and joyful holiday celebrations. This morning, I noticed something unusual with my system, which comprises a Bryston BDP-1, BDA-2, BP-26, 4BSST2, and PMC IB2 speakers.
When I reduce the volume on the BP-26 preamplifier to its minimum setting, the music remains faintly audible. Although the volume is very low, it is still noticeable when I place my ear close to the speakers. Interestingly, the sound is slightly louder from one speaker compared to the other.
To investigate further, I replaced the 4BSST2 amplifier with my 3BSST2. The result was the same, though the residual volume was slightly lower with the 3BSST2 when the BP-26 preamplifier volume was set to minimum.
Is this phenomenon normal? This is the first time I have noticed it.
Thanks
