I have recently upgraded to a new Lumin product, so time to sell this one. Original buyer / one owner, Smoke free home. Legit 9/10 condition. No noticeable scratches, marks or dents. Combo digital streamer / DAC which has been highly regarded and recommended (even by other brands ie. Denafrips). Roon ready but can also support Spotify connect, Tidal, Qubuz, Airplay etc. Wonderful piece of equipment which can be plugged directly into an amp. The volume can be controlled through the LEEDH Processing lossless volume control. I tried the Lumin T2 directly into my two amps and the musical quality, separation and imaging was outstanding! But, I ended up running it through my preamp for a slightly warmer sound and to be able to use the features of the preamp.
Lumin's staff frequently post and answer questions on all the usual hifi / audiophile forums, they also answer email questions, usually within 24 hours. The firmware is constantly upgraded through the internet, by the manufacturer.
SBooster separate power supply-- Before purchasing the Lumin T2, I spoke with UpScale Audio. They highly recommended the SBooster to enhance the sound of the T2 since it separates the power supply from the unit, just like they do with Lumin's top of the line X1. I contacted Lumin and enquired of them if this was indeed true. The answer straight from Lumin was that the SBooster was a great idea. The SBooster cleaned up the sound floor just a touch, increased the dynamics, separation and the bass. The SBooster is included in the sale.
The Lumin T2 can be completely controlled via an app on your phone or tablet, or through Roon.
All of these things are why I recently purchased their top of the line streamer dac! This Lumin T2 is considered the sweet spot in their line up.
