Love this review! It provides real world testing for mortals wanting a leap to audiophile heaven...(like me) :)

Using 3 speakers was also appreciated 👍 liked how she uses some basic wall treatments behind the speakers which provides dividends often overlooked... Nicely done

I enjoyed the review, well done. I currently have the same set up (with Philharmonic BMR Monitors) and love both the simplicity of the set up and the tremendous sound quality. I have had and heard a lot of gear over the years (including many AVA separates) and this really hits the sweat spot for me.

Been listening to both my NP1 and SET120 in different systems in different homes…. So hard to compare them, but … I think I’m more attracted to the presentation of the SET120. It sounds more immediate and perhaps less ‘controlled’ to my ears.  The NP1 sounds lovely , just saying I think the SET120 is more preferable to me.   That said .. different sources, different preamps, different speakers, different rooms.

Looking forward to picking up an AVA Digital Preamplifier to pair with the NP1.

I also have Philharmonic BMRs but use the SET 120 power amp. Beautiful pairing. The SET 120 has a lit from within quality that makes it special.

I also have a SET and the CA1 Control Amp. I like them both. They are excellent amps with slightly different sound signatures; they are both keepers for sure. Both are set up so my family can enjoy them. The NP1 is set up in my main rig; it has a slight edge over the CA1. I love the resolution and imaging of this amp. It's a bit excessive, but that's the hobby. The NP1 replaced Dennis Had's Inspire 2030 preamplifier and SET Universal Amp - fun amps.
