Greetings all...
I am almost at wits end here.  Ever since I changed internet servers, I have been having problems.
I'll try and be as brief as possible.
My system:
--Salk Gen III Streamplayer:  (can no longer get it to work, I tried Jims LINUX commands, but I cannot login with my password provided to me, Jim also looked at it, apparently it was a bad USB port).
--ROON Nucleus (I bought it after being so frustrated with the system not working, worked great after initial hookup, but suddenly stopped outputting, although if I run ROON through a controller (Imac, Iphone, the NUCLEUS plays.  Also, when I have my main system running you can see the sound bars active when you click on the audio zone).
-- Van Alstine Synergy 300 Amp, MK5 DAC, Vision SL Pre
-- Salk songtowers, Salk surrounds and Rhytmik sub 12"

Frank VA took my DAC and they replaced the input board, cost me $250.00, I dont remember what Jim charged...
Basically what is happening is no sound from my system.  Although I can see ROON is running and works fine when playing on my iMAC or Iphone).
Another confusing thing is when I go to audio settings in ROON and choose the NUCLEUS as the core, it says (Via HDMI).  My NUCLEUS is connected via USB to the DAC.
I have changed the cables, all the fuses, and I hear a pop when I fire up the amp and a bit of hiss coming from the songtowers. But no music. 
I am so damn frustrated.  I thought the STREAMPLAYER was the culprit, because the NUCLEUS was working great for a time.  Then, gone.
Apologies for the drawn out post.  Im just out of procedures to try and figure this out.
I am far from being a pro audio expert, by the way.

From the screen shots you have provided, it seems that you need to enable the Amanero. That is the usb device used in the MK5 DAC. The Roon is not recognizing the DAC, the bottom of your screen says no Audio Devices Found. Have you clicked on the manage Audio Devices?

Hi Mary,
From what I understand, the Amanero was assigned to the Salkstream.  So the nucleus will recognize this?
I did click on manage devices.

If it's working okay with a controller (say a tablet or phone) what's the problem?  Don't know if you've spent any time on the Roon forum yet but it appears to me that 90% of network issues with Roon happen to people using Apple. Not throwing flames at Apple, just sayin'.

Is your music on the Nucleus?

My entire library is downloaded to the nucleus.  The sound output works fine on my mac and Iphone, but not on my main system, which I listed above.
The nucleus is wired directly to my DAC via USB.

Okay, so it did work through your main system for some period of time; minutes, hours?

When you say it works through a controller (iPhone) you mean it plays through the iPhone speaker?

The files on the Nucleus are a type the AVA dac recognize? Not AAC as an example?

As Mary said above on the screen shot you provided you have no output enabled. Why don’t you enable those?  If that doesn’t work the consider the Roon forum.   I don’t own one, perhaps ask their forum ?  I bet is an easy fix.  Also check the USB connection and even try a different cable.  USB cables can be an issue.  I have had that happen before.

Thank you so much all... I enabled the Amanero and its working great.  I just assumed I had to Enable the nucleus.  What a dope I am...
I just assumed the Amanero was linked to the Salkstream, So I kept going with the Nucleus zone.  I don't know why it switched to the Nucleus HDMI zone, one of you said it was a simple fix, and it was.... Simpleton I am, but I'm blowing out my windows now.  Thank you all so much!
Now I am going to try and get the Salkstream back up, I suppose it should work with Amanero zone enabled.
